part of Opal HealthCare

BlueCross Group today officially becomes part of Opal HealthCare, one of Australia’s leading aged care providers.
The union of two highly regarded aged care providers means Opal HealthCare now offers care to older people at 133 Care Communities across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, with 17,000 dedicated team members caring for more than 12,000 residents and clients.
Opal HealthCare’s purpose is “to bring joy to those we care for” and its services are underpinned by its values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
Opal HealthCare CEO Rachel Argaman is delighted to welcome BlueCross Group’s aged care team, residents, clients and representatives into the Opal HealthCare family.
“At Opal HealthCare, we strive to provide excellent clinical care and nurture love, purpose and a sense of belonging for our residents,” she said.
“We are privileged to be taking on the exceptional 30-year legacy of BlueCross in Victoria."

The majority of BlueCross team have already transferred to Opal HealthCare and continue to provide the high-quality care that residents and families know and expect.
Team members will benefit from more training and development opportunities through the sector leading Opal HealthCare Academy. It offers defined career pathways through aged care, supported by internal and external leadership, training and development programs, and scholarships for further studies, open to all Opal HealthCare team.
Over time, the 31 BlueCross Care Communities will be renamed and rebranded to Opal HealthCare. They are located in Avondale Heights, Box Hill, Brighton, Camberwell, Caulfield North, Chelsea, Cheltenham, Cowes, Croydon, East Camberwell, Glenroy, Ivanhoe, Kew, Kilmore, Lower Templestowe, Malvern East, Mill Park, Mooroolbark, Mordialloc, Mount Waverley, Mulgrave, Northcote, Oakleigh South, Preston, Sandringham, Sunshine, Surrey Hills, Templestowe, and Vermont South.
