Chelsea Manor Care Community

Chelsea Manor Care Community (formerly BlueCross Chelsea Manor) is set among manicured private gardens in the heart of leafy Chelsea and offers a welcoming and tranquil environment. Located close to Bicentennial Park, Chelsea Reserve, and local shops, our Care Community is built in a neoclassic design with stained glass windows, a vintage-style chandelier, vaulted ceilings, and an atrium with a water feature. Residents can relax in landscaped courtyards, enjoy barista-style coffee in our café, or socialise with loved ones in the main lounge. It is the ideal place to relax and socialise with its comfortable armchairs, gas fireplace, and a piano.

Care at Chelsea Manor

Our Care Community provides compassionate, personalised care with registered nurses available onsite 24/7 and a dedicated wellbeing team. Led by experienced professionals, our team offers residential aged care, respite, dementia, and palliative care and memory care neighbourhood for those who need it. Our residents have access to primary and allied health services, including physiotherapy.

Chelsea Manor hosts modern single bedrooms with private ensuites, a library, hair and beauty salon, multimedia room, and landscaped outdoor spaces. My Mum wasn’t just cared for at Chelsea Manor, she was loved. She moved when she was quite unwell/underweight and being there improved her health and enjoyment of life. The management and staff do a wonderful job in looking after the residents needs and that was very reassuring for our family. It is also beautifully presented, doesn’t smell, is very clean and the views to the gardens are lovely. Recently, we returned from a trip out. Mum was greeted with staff and residents saying hi and asking about what we had been doing. She turned to me and said ‘it’s just one, big, happy family here’ 😊 Don’t get me wrong, she found it hard at first, but she was supported to get involved in exercise groups and other activities and she got there. It just takes time to accept and the person needs to make the most of it (if they can). I work in health and I hear many stories of older people still at home, but isolated and miserable. I know from our experience of Chelsea Manor that aged care can be a positive experience. My Mum couldn’t have coped much longer at home and she needed food prepared for her and good nursing care (and she was a nurse, a great one. She and we were very happy with the care she received right up until she died pain free and with dignity - the staff were just amazing). Thankyou to everyone who cared for Mum, cooked her food, cleaned her room, laundered her clothes etc etc and treated her with respect and kindness. We cannot thank you enough.

My mum has been a resident at Chelsea Manor Care Community for nearly 2 years. She absolutely loves it! It is very clean and well maintained. The team are so loving and friendly towards my mum and they give her so much of their time whether it is just for a chat or her showing them her photographs etc. She receives excellent care and enjoys the wide variety of activities on offer. A bonus is there is now activities throughout the day on Saturdays and some on Sundays. My mum has made some lovely friends whom she interacts with daily but if she wants time on her own she has the most beautiful bedroom where she goes to. As the family, we know my mum is in very good hands and we are always welcome to pop in any time to visit her or take her out.
