Close to Bankstown City Gardens, there are ample public transport options and Bankstown Central Shopping Centre is just 10 minutes away. Our Care Community is modern, welcoming, elegant and full of life.

Care at Bankstown Terrace

We offer a relaxing environment with the compassionate and personalised care of 24/7 registered nurses. Our experienced leadership work alongside a capable and confident team to offer residential aged care, palliative care, dementia care and respite care. Allied health professionals also visit regularly. Our wellness centre provides in-home rehabilitation services, and we have two memory care neighbourhoods provides an environment custom-designed to support the individual needs of residents who are living with dementia. We know that understanding the big and the little details about how you like to live each day is important to us – so that we can help you feel at home, have the right support and live your best life in our care.

Daily Living at Bankstown Terrace

Our exceptional clinical care is complemented by a lifestyle where residents can socialise with friends and family at our onsite café, enjoy being pampered in our beauty salon, or soak up the district views from one of our many outdoor terraces. We encourage our residents to pursue their interests whether it be painting or art classes, singing in our resident choir, or enjoying our Virtual or Augmented Reality experiences that support cognition and reminiscence. We have an active group of card players who gather around our card table each afternoon for friendly competition, and our men’s group enjoys visits to the sports club next door for a drink and a yarn.

The staff here are so welcoming to all that step through the door. Mum felt a little scared but was happy when she arrived to a bunch of beautiful flowers. The service here is wonderful. I would like to highly commend Raj - Customer Support Manager at Bankstown Terrace Care Community for her wonderful skills, care, empathy and all round professionalism in assisting us Peter and Lindsay Smith with help from offering, and then Peter's acceptance into respite care with a view to permanent residential care. Nothing has been to hard or difficult, with Raj accommodating all our enquiries, all done with the utmost respect and calmness. Raj is a true asset to this organisation. Having had previous experience with Bankstown Terrace Aged Care Community at Bankstown, through family and friends who were previous residents, I selected this establishment for my wife upon discharge from hospital following several recent brain bleeds / strokes. Such a choice is always difficult but the application process was well explained and I felt very comfortable in entrusting my wife to the care of the staff. Moving in yesterday, I have been more than impressed by the welcome and attention afforded to my wife by the management and staff to ensure that they all understood her particular needs, and desires. As my wife has lost most of her vision and is non-verbal, the staff made and exceptional effort to learn the best ways to communicate with her and some of her preferences. The first 24 hours has seen senior management from the General Manager, Care Manager, Care Coordinator, Customer Support Manager, on-site physiotherapists and the chef visit Dianne to determine her needs. Shortly after arrival, Dianne had her first lunch and it was so nice that she ate the whole meal and desert. Today the General Manager brought a bunch of flowers for Dianne and the physios again visited to assess Dianne who had been bed-bound for 6 weeks and after some gentle encouragement Dianne was assisted to stand and take a couple of steps and sit in a wheelchair. This is enough to show that there is a strong possibility that with assistance, Dianne will be able to move out of her room and share the environment and activities that Bankstown Terrace offers. Whilst Dianne was always reluctant to consider entering an aged care facility, I am now very confident that she will be happy with this new chapter of her life, which she seems to enjoy already.
