Jean's Story in Respite Care
17th December 2021 | 1 min readJean shares her experience of life at Mornington BayCare Community during five weeks of respite care - watch her video below.
Respite can be planned or on an emergency basis and can be used for up to 63 days in a financial year. It can be planned in advance for example if a carer has personal needs and commitments or is planning a trip.
We know the dedication and commitment involved with full-time care and we understand that it’s necessary to take time out from caring now and then. We offer day respite and short and long-term care. Longer-term respite care can be a good way to manage recovery from illness and give residents the opportunity to access reablement services. We have a registered nurse on shift, every day and night.
