Welcome to Tweed Valley Care Community

Tweed Valley Care Community is set amongst the leafy surrounds of the beautiful Terranora Valley, and our Care Community enjoys a peaceful location while still being close to everything the coastal lifestyle has to offer. We offer country hospitality and a warm and inclusive environment. There are many peaceful courtyards for residents to sit and connect with family and friends. Inside you’ll find comfortable lounge areas, games room and an extensive library to enjoy a good book.

Care at Tweed Valley

We offer a relaxing environment with the compassionate and personalised care of 24/7 registered nurses. Our experienced leadership work alongside a capable and confident team to offer residential aged care, palliative care, dementia care and respite care. Allied health professionals also visit regularly. Our memory care neighbourhood provides an environment custom-designed to support the individual needs of residents who are living with dementia. We recognise that understanding the big and the little details about how you like to live each day is important to us – so that we can help you feel at home, have the right support and live your best life in our care.

Daily living at Tweed Valley

Our full sized pool table sees many a friendly competition among residents while catching up over a coffee or a beer. Our resident gardeners tend to the planter boxes in the courtyard, and there’s always great excitement when furry friends from the community come to visit.

It’s an environment where you’re free to enjoy your interests, independently or with others, continue to learn and try new things, and participate in Tweed Valley life –so you can enjoy your day, your way.

We recently had a lovely experience with this great nursing home. We found the staff outstanding and really easy to deal with, and so caring of our loved one. The food was great, there was nothing to fault. We moved our loved one not because of any issue with the home, but to have her closer to family in Brisbane. My Mum is thriving at TVCC. She is smiling, laughing and socializing again. Even trying a variety of foods that she would normally say no to. This turnaround is all due to the dedicated staff that show genuine care and commitment to its residence so glad my mum is part of the TVCC family.

Tweed Valley Care Community has been amazing to my mum. All the staff, nurses, carers, activities ladies, catering, cleaners as well as administration are wonderful. It is a worrying experience to put a loved one into care but my mum is treated with love, kindness & respect always.

It is so nice to find some compassionate people in the world when you really need them. My mum has dementia and had been living with my sister who became ill and could not give her the care she required. Megan from Tweed Valley Care Community was such a great help and went above and beyond to ensure my mum was able to move into their community at short notice. My mother was put her at 37 kg and they did not have the care and support in such an extreme circumstance and should not have admitted her she need acute care and hospitalised and two weeks later was sent to hospital after a fall and not swallowing so was starving to death. It was a horrible situation that should not have occured.

    Dear Jacqui,Your mother came into our care severely underweight and was only with us for a very short time before she was admitted to hospital. During her time with us, we were able to maintain her weight before she was hospitalised to improve her nutrition and to manage other clinical concerns that required a hospital setting. Given her poor condition upon admission into our Care Community, we took all necessary steps to help support your mother to gain some much-needed weight and admitted her to hospital when this, unfortunately, became necessary. We'd welcome the opportunity to discuss her care with you in person or any other more appropriate forum given the serious nature of the issues you've raised. Best regards, Cherie
