Managing Dementia through experience

Managing Dementia
We recognise that people living with dementia can continue to live active and rich lives many years after their diagnosis. Maureen, a resident at Rutherford Park Care Community demonstrates this every day through her interactions with others as she is managing dementia of her own.
Throughout her career as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), Maureen has supported people living with dementia and now that she is living with dementia, her first-hand experience has paved the way to help her fellow residents.
Caring is in Maureen’s nature. She has formed strong connections and enjoys a variety of meaningful activities in our Care Community. She wears a smile on her face every day and finds joy in supporting others.
