Bathurst Riverview housewarming
25th August 2019 | 3 min readA beautiful new care home in Bathurst was officially opened with a welcome to country, a smoking ceremony, and a high tea ‘housewarming’.
The Member for Bathurst, Hon Paul Toole MP, attended the opening event and said the new care home was "state-of-the-art" and represented a significant investment in Bathurst from Opal Aged Care (Opal).
The new $38 million care home in Stanley Street, by the Macquarie River, provides a range of premium single rooms with ensuites, companion rooms, beautifully designed living and dining areas, outdoor spaces, a hairdressing salon and a café. The home also includes a specialist memory support unit, providing dedicated care for people living with dementia.
Opal has been providing aged care services to the Bathurst community for the past 38 years, and over this time the demand for quality aged care services has continued to grow. The new home delivers the same excellent care the community has come to expect from Opal.
