Reynella Hillside Care Community

Set among the tree-lined streets of Old Reynella, our Care Community offers a welcoming atmosphere along with compassionate and personalised care. Our contemporary resort-style residence features beautifully designed living spaces and carefully crafted rooms, and single and companion bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Residents can enjoy being close to the Old Reynella shopping centre and there’s easy access to public transport. With a lovely outlook over Winefly Park, our Care Community is an integral part of the local community.

Care at Reynella Hillside

We offer a relaxing environment with the compassionate and personalised care of 24/7 registered nurses. Our experienced leadership work alongside a capable and confident team to offer residential aged care, with palliative care, dementia care and respite care services. Allied health professionals also visit regularly. We recognise that understanding the big and the little details about how you like to live each day is important – so that we can help you feel at home, have the right support and live your best life in our care.

Our café is the hub of our thriving Care Community, where residents and friends stop for a chat, or linger over Coffee and cake. Updated. During the transition of ownership, there was some turbulence in both service and cleanliness, which caused concern at the time. However, things have since settled and the level of care has noticeably improved. Staffing continues to be the biggest factor in the overall experience, with a few standout team members (namely Sandy and Reason) who have clearly invested a great deal of energy and compassion into making my family feel comfortable and supported. I now feel confident and reassured that my family is safe in their hands. Original review:We recently made the difficult decision to place our ageing family into respite with a view to permanency. The staff here have been extremely caring and supportive. They have been there for every need and residents have been attended to in a timely manner when required. It feels relaxed and residents are encouraged to socialize, participate in activities and are given the opportunity to make their own decisions where possible. Family/friend visits are encouraged and welcomed. I feel like we are in good hands.

Updated. Since my last review, things are definitely improving at the facility. The staffing has stabilised, with some really stand out workers. Updated. Since this residential facility has been bought out by Opal, the quality of care and cleanliness has declined significantly and I can no longer say that I am happy having my family reside here. Huge turnover of staff, dirty and poor maintenance. Original review:We recently made the difficult decision to place our ageing family into respite with a view to permanency. The staff here have been extremely caring and supportive. They have been there for every need and residents have been attended to in a timely manner when required. My experience past week for Respite then Permanent Care has been excellent. My 94yr mother transitioned from independant living to Opal Reynella. Initial phone consult and 1st contact at Cente excellent. My mother is happy with staff, her room, and the quality of meals.

Update 2025. Went through my ratings and this is the only place I've ever given 1 star on anything. Please note, this was from my experience when it was owned by LifeCare. Hopefully Opal is doing a much better job.

Growing Liberty

As lifecare, they had some good people working there under tough times. The Dr killed my father with antivirals, I asked Dr for notes and paperwork, made me send poa etc and would not provide me with anything and ignored me, they know what they did and hell awaits those who do Satan's work. Repent lajoy.
