Christina Hardy - General Counsel/Company Secretary

Christina Hardy

“I am inspired every day by the drive our care teams and home leadership have to live our core values of compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence in caring for our residents. For me, joining Opal means I can be part of an organisation that strives to make a difference in the lives of our residents and relatives.  Advocacy is a vital part of caring for our elders, and I am privileged to work with all levels of the organisation to ensure that the small and large decisions we make are in the best interests of our residents.”

Prior to joining Opal, Christina held group legal and business leadership roles at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, located on the St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney campus. Christina was responsible for all aspects of industry engagement and technology commercialisation, working closely with clinicians and researchers to improve the diagnosis and treatment of disease.  Christina has also worked in the UK and Asia, with a technology focus. Her early experience includes politics and public relations.
