Cheltenham Parkside Care Community (formerly BlueCross Autumdale) is just a short distance from local clubs, amenities, and shopping precincts such as DFO Moorabbin and Westfield Southland. Our Care Community offers spacious and comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces for residents to enjoy.

Homely and inviting, our Care Community features two residential wings, which are arranged around a sunny courtyard complete with a fountain, barbecue facilities, pergolas, and beautifully manicured gardens. Indoors, you’ll be delighted by the exquisite furnishings, including the warmly lit dining room that leads into a cosy main lounge, featuring sparkling chandeliers and a welcoming fireplace.

Care at Cheltenham Parkside Care Community

Our Care Community provides compassionate care with registered nurses onsite 24/7. Our experienced leadership works alongside a capable and confident team to offer residential aged care, palliative care, dementia care, and respite care.

To further support residents’ health and wellness, we have primary and allied health services available, including physiotherapy.

Daily Living at Cheltenham Parkside Care Community

Our Care Community offers seasonal menus crafted by our on-site chef, delivering fresh and nutritious meals. A dedicated wellbeing team is onsite to support residents’ holistic needs. Many residents enjoy music and art, and our social activities are designed to encourage friendship and connection. We host a variety of entertainment and events, and our cultural and faith-based community supports enrich residents’ experiences.

My Mum has been in care now for 20 months. Fantastic aged care facility looked after my Mum. The afternoon shift staff are friendly, hard working and caring. Nurses, General ,Care managers, Customer Support Coordinator, Wellbeing, Maintenance, Careers, Kitchen Staff, Laundry and Mental health support. Beautiful modern rooms, activities, hair salon and everytime i feed Mum at dinner time the food is cooked very well. Especially one chef whose name is EL. He’s crafting meals and creating flavours that brought joy to others and he also a carer. Also love the coffee machine especially a Hot Chocolate.

We are extremely grateful to this wonderful place and amazing staff for looking after our mum. It is warm and inviting, newly renovated and has a lovely outdoor space. The staff are wonderful - management, nursing staff, care team, activities and the kitchen and maintenance teams too. Residents and are treated as an individuals and there are lots of interesting activities and outings to be a part of. The meals are nutritious and individual needs are well catered for. Our family are so happy we found Cheltenham Parkside

My 96 year old mother-in-law has been at Parkside since Feb 2025. We had been caring for her at home until she had a fall and ended up in hospital. From hospital she went to respite as she still needed additional help with activities of daily living. We realized as respite came to an end that taking her home was out of the question as she needed 24/7 care and with work and other commitments we weren’t able to give her this. Coming from an Italian family where we care for our elderly at home it was a very difficult decision to keep her in the nursing home. Sadly like many others I’ve only ever heard of the bad side of nursing homes but I have to say that we have been so impressed by the genuine care and compassion of everyone at Parkside. From management, nurses and carers they have gone out of their way to make sure mums needs were met, making her feel at home, comfortable, safe and even learning some common Italian words so they can communicate with her. So many wonderful staff, too many to individually mention. I love that we see the same familiar staff as they get to know our loved ones. This was another important aspect we considered when choosing a smaller facility. We hoped that there wouldn’t be lots of different faces coming from agencies who didn’t have a vested interest in the residents. Parkside looks and feels very homely. This is the primary reason we picked it. We thought if mum never gets back to her own home this is the next best thing. Mum has a beautiful room over looking the garden, her Italian channel in her room and the best care we could hope for. Well done to Mickel for his dedication in running an aged care facility that treats the elderly with love and respect. Fiona at the front desk always greets everyone with the biggest smile as do other staff. I think this too is a testimony to the environment when staff look happy to be at work despite the challenging, demanding, tiring job they have. I definitely rate this facility 5/5 and our family feels blessed that we were able to find such an amazing place.
