Window of Love
8th April 2020 | 5 minsSocial distancing has posed challenges for many of us wanting to spend time ‘in real life’ with family and friends. Our teams at our Geraldton and Kawana Waters homes have created the ‘Window of Love’ to solve this problem. The Opal Geraldton ‘Window of Love’ project began when our General Manager, Carryn, was thinking about how to maintain the love and connection between our residents and their loved ones. With design input from residents and team, the windows were decorated with much love and care and the idea is so popular they have had to start a booking system to manage demand!
The Jeffries family gathered to celebrate Trevor and Shirley’s 69th Wedding Anniversary. The family were overjoyed that they could spend this time together and have already made their bookings for more family time.
Our resident, Jean, caught up with her daughter, Corrine, through the Window of Love and they haven’t stopped smiling.
Lynton and Bev, from our Kawana Waters home, show off their newly decorated ‘Window of Love’ which they helped create just in time for Easter.
As ideas for connection continue to be shared amongst our homes, the teams are embracing them in their own ways, inspired by residents and families.
We hope all our families out there stay safe and find ways to connect this Easter!
