On one special April Friday at Maitland Grange Care Community, rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of newlyweds Jenni and Dan, and resident Jim, the very proud father of the bride.
When Jenni asked if we could host her wedding on the grounds of our Care Community to be close to her much-loved Dad, we were thrilled to help.
In the days leading up to the event, Maintenance Officer Jacob got to work building a special arbour, ensuring the perfect setting for the intimate ceremony. A fabulous team effort saw Wellbeing Manager Bec bring the sparkle and all-important attention to detail as wedding event coordinator while General Manager Kirsty made sure everything went off without (or should we say ‘with’?) a hitch.
Joy and anticipation rippled throughout the Care Community all week and on the day, with guests enjoying our lovely gardens – the perfect setting for a perfect day.
“Thank you to everyone at Maitland Grange Care Community for helping us to plan our day, within such a short period of time,” said Jenni.
“The team went above and beyond with getting the garden ready, making sure Daddy was comfortable and supporting us with the urgency of sharing this day with him.”
“It was amazing to be able to share our special day with my Dad. We will cherish these memories forever.”
