We're off to see the wizard!

Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion and the Wicked Witch of the West were just a handful of classic characters that our residents at Springwood Greens Care Community were able to sing along with at Winmallee High School’s production of the musical “The Wizard of Oz”.
The cast was made up of students from years 8 through to year 12 and our residents were amazed with the calibre of talent from such young people. Some residents even said “It brought back memories of when we used to go see musicals at the theatre.”
After the performance they got the chance to meet the cast members and have a chat about singing, studies and what other musicals are planned for the future. This visit was particularly special for one resident as she was able to see where her grandchild goes to school. After clicking their heels 3 times our residents were back home and ready for another outing.
