Easter bunny visits Kawana Waters
20th April 2020 | 2 mins
The Easter Bunny really knows how to make an entrance with impact on the Sunshine Coast. Kawana Waters care community received an unexpected visit that really caused a stir when Anita, whose mum lives at our care home, came for a visit in a most unexpected way.
Easter is a time for family celebrations for many people and Anita didn’t want to let the current coronavirus restrictions stop her from giving her mum a day to remember. With the help of local businesses, Coates Hire and Costumes Galore, Anita dressed up in an Easter Bunny suit and was lifted towards the heavens in a cherry-picker, while waving to excited residents in the windows.
Anita shared, “We thought it would be a lovely idea to share some Easter cheer with the residents and the smiles we’ve seen from ear to ear make it well worth it”.
Channel 7 got in on the act and shared the story while happy family members waved up to their loved ones and delighted in being part of such a memorable Easter celebration.
