Vaxing for Community Immunity

At Opal HealthCare we support COVID-19 vaccination for people who work in aged care. To us, it’s simple - we're caring for the people in our communities who are most vulnerable to COVID-19. And we’re in aged care because we care - about our residents, our team and the wider community.
To date, the majority of our team have been vaccinated. To help those who are yet to access the vaccine do so as soon as possible, we’re rolling out vaccination clinics for team members at our Care Communities in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.
These clinics will also be available to new residents. All residents who wanted to have the vaccine were able to have it at onsite vaccination clinics earlier in the year. We’re working to ensure that residents who have moved into our Care Communities since the program rolled out can also have it, as well as the small number of residents who had declined and have now decided to do so.
Our team take the health and safety of themselves as well as that of residents, family members and the community seriously. For this reason, we need to ensure they are protected against COVID-19 as soon as possible.
