Clair Ramsden - Director, Clinical Services

Clair joined Opal HealthCare in January 2022 to lead the clinical services and quality program, focusing on continuing to build and embed excellence in clinical care.

She holds an Honorary Associate Professorship with the University of Technology, Sydney and has extensive experience in operational leadership in the public health system and large local health districts. Clair brings strong and diverse career experience and deep knowledge within clinical services, safety, operations and broader health service policy, disaster management, workforce, cultural change management and leadership.

Clair is a registered nurse and commenced her career as a volunteer in aged care. She has extensive experience in emergency and trauma nursing and has worked in a variety of settings both in Australia and the UK.

A published author, Clair holds Masters degrees in Health Care Ethics and Health Service Management and has completed the Benevolent Society Adaptive Leadership Program and the Public Service Leadership Academy.
