We are delighted to announce that Meadowbank Grove Care Community’s first residents have been warmly welcomed into their new home, marking an important milestone for aged care in the West Ryde community. Our newest care home stands on the site formerly occupied by Meadowbank Grove, where countless community members were cared for over a period of more than 30 years.

Regional General Manager, NSW Central, Ann Knevitt, said the beautiful new home has been designed to create a sense of community where residents can maintain connections with friends and loved ones, and receive personalised care focused on their individual needs and preferences.
“Our highly experienced team is dedicated to nurturing our residents’ physical, emotional and social wellbeing and connecting actively with the local community,” said Ms Knevitt.

“Life in our care community is about continuing to engage in the activities and interests that are important to our residents, in a supportive environment where they have access to excellent clinical care and allied health services such as physiotherapy, podiatry and dentistry. Our team of qualified and compassionate registered nurses is on-site 24 hours a day. Our in-home chef cooks meals from scratch each day and is looking forward to creating seasonal menus with input from residents so that they can enjoy the food they like to eat. Our gardens and shaded courtyards provide ample space for outdoor activities, with sensory gardens and raised vegetable garden beds.”

The thoughtfully designed care community is part of the Opal family and has 116 luxurious and spacious residential places, including 110 single rooms and three companion suites, all with ensuites, and featuring garden, district or water views. The Memory Care Neighbourhood is a dedicated environment filled with cues and memory supports that enables people living with dementia to live with meaning and purpose in our care.

Providing a safe and secure environment is fundamental to our care and the building design incorporates accessible living spaces that are easy to navigate, including state-of-the-art security technology to give residents and their loved ones peace of mind, including in our Memory Care Neighbourhood.

Our new care community, located on the border of West Ryde and Meadowbank, features ‘The Grove Café’ where residents, family, friends, team and our local community can enjoy barista style coffee and delicious meals and snacks. There is a well-appointed hairdressing and beauty salon so residents can look and feel their best, and landscaped tranquil gardens with shaded areas for our residents and their families and friends to enjoy.
